Teller County’s 911 Remembrance

This morning is the anniversary of the terrorist attacks in which so many first responders - Law Enforcement, Firefighters, Medical Responders - risked and gave their lives to save uncounted lives. It is a day that launched so many of our brave service members into war to keep the terrorists on the other side of the oceans and not on American soil.

This morning, we in the HDSA were proud to attend the remembrance and appreciate the sacrifices that so many great Americans made to save us and keep us safe.

Army Veteran and incoming county commissioner Dan Williams led the ceremony which included heartfelt speeches from leaders from around the county including the Teller County Sheriff, Jason Mikesell.

A moment of silence, a moment of prayer, and deep feeling of community were again reminders why we as Americans can always overcome adversity.
